I often disagree with Armando, and like many others here I have been individually singled out by that worthy for denigration.

And some of my diaries and comments get praise from other posters here, while on several occasions people have posted saying I should be banned from the site altogether for my heterodox views.

I'm completely with Armando on this one.  You should be, too.

When I say "you may be wrong," well for example many librul Kossacks are wetting the bed for fear of a "Christian theocracy," that anytime now anyone who isn't clocking at least 2 weekly appearances in a Bible-believing fundie church will become a social pariah and political nonentity.

I may be wrong, too, but I think "hogwash."  The whole religious shtick isn't what our rulers are about:  they're just looking to fool the rubes.

They're not about Jesus, they're about fascism.  Check out the hijinx at Bohemian Grove; kinda steamy and queer for the real "Born Again" lot, dontcha think?  ("The Bohemian Grove . . . which I attend form time to time . . . it is the faggiest goddamn thing that you could ever imagine," R. M. NIXON, [1971]).

I don't even think the Pugs are serious about curtailing abortion, although they might look to curb late-term abortions (which account for some tiny fraction of all abortions) or fuck around with parental notification for younger teens.  These are bones they might look to toss to their "base," but overturn Roe v. Wade?  Not on your life, especially since Pug girls get knocked up, too, and depopulation is part of the fascist agenda.  Read Henry Kissinger on the subject.

But on issues of bread and butter, and stopping wars of aggression and assaults on the Constitution and, shit, the Magna Carta (I'm descended from 13 of the "sureties," and the sister of a fourteenth)?  Let's build the big tent, for sure.

"In this world limits are not only inescapable but indispensable." (Wendell Berry).
