is the difference between a Republican and a pro-life Democrat in Virginia?

I'm not being snarky. I'm genuinely curious.

    •  Oh, they're still not nearly as bad (none)
A lot of the Republicans (including the current candidates for Governor, Lt. Governor, and Attorney General) are anti-tax fanatics, who believe that we can cut taxes and pay for it only with "economic growth" and unspecified waste (despite having been whacked over the head with contrary reality as recently as last year.)  They have a strong anti-immigrant contingent, seeking to deny undocumented workers (which include asylum seekers and such, not just illegal immigrants) driver's licenses, schooling, and other services.  They're on the anti-gay marriage bandwagon, too, for obvious political reasons, since it's already illegal.  They have a smattering of creationists, too.  My impression is that there may be conservative Democrats on some of these issues as well, but it's not widespread -- but I can't say I've looked up the votes in detail.
