  •  Do you (none)
even know how difficult it is to successfully manage and prosecute a civil trial to a multimillion dollar verdict in a conservative state?

Or defeat Jesse helm's political machine on your first try?

Yeah, that Edwards, he's never done a thing.

I'd like to compare his resume with yours.

    •  I'm not running for president. (none)
I didn't say his job was simple. Just that he hasn't managed an organization.

      •  So do you think you need to run some kind of (none)
organization before becoming President? Or serve as governor or Vice President?
        •  I haven't perfected my experience litmus test. (none)
But John Edwards definitely comes up shy.

If he had a couple of terms as a Senator, had authored major legislation, had chaired some major committees, that would be different. I'm not automatically rejecting senators, or giving governors, veeps or CEOs a free ride.

          •  Edwards probably should have run for re-election (4.00)
and probably could have done much better than the wealthy former Clinton official did. In fact, if Edwards had focused on re-election instead of running for president, he'd probably be in his second term, planning a run for 2008. Although if he'd just won Iowa, he could have been nominated, and I think he'd have beaten Dumbya. He is one of our most compelling figures, and it would be a mistake to again deny him the nomination.
            •  Re-elect Edwards? (none)
I think he was polling significantly below a generic republican when he decided to run for president. If you have any doubts as to his electablity to the senate, just look at the 2000 and 2004 presidential results from North Carolina, he only helped the ticket pick up a lousey 2%... Not to mention he got stomped on at the debate with Cheney.
              •  Please read the thread (none)
The memes you make have already been disproven above.

Remember, no one believed he could beat a sitting GOP senator that had the Helms machine on his side either.

Your evidence is mistaken and your logic hardly clears up any doubts.

                Try again.

Everybody talks about John Edwards' energy, intellect and charisma -- Bill Clinton
