I suspect Reid is on top of this.  Pretty clearly he hasn't made this a leadership vote.  I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't have a target final vote count intended to create the best possible environment for the next battle.

I've really been impressed by Reid.  If he doesn't want to be crossed, I doubt he gets crossed too often.

Reid has plans for the next battle, my ass. He knows, we all know, the next battle against these fuckers will be exactly the same as this one, as all our battles have been. And suckups like Baucus make it possible. How many are there? How many Democratic Senators have bought their seats from us? Ten? Twenty? Twenty-five, or more? The truth is, the Republicans run this country as if they command the kind of majorities that FDR had late in his term, and Johnson did during few years. And essentially, they do, not because the American people voted to elect that many Republicans, but because so many Democratic Senators are material participants in their crimes.

Haven't you figured that out yet?

Why do so many people fail to understand that Republicans have been infiltrating the Democratic party since Reconstruction?

If impeachment doesn't work, how about radiation and chemotherapy?
