      I read it very carefully. It's the wrong way to say it, the writer meant to imply that we start on equal footing, not as blank slates, the latter a heavily loaded terms that implies all sorts of other things.

        and so not worth pursuing very far.  But when a qualified tabula rasa is equated with a total tabula rasa a misreading has occured.  No?

          I think it's worth having, except for the fact that we're getting squished against the wall in the thread.

          I think a large segment of the population has a fundamental misuderstanding about the blank slate thing, and to further it is not good. But as I say, squuuish...
