  •  okay Find the (none)
New Orleans Refugee hiding in the Astrodome who has so badly offended the weather gods that they are sending a second storm to finish him off.   Then move him to Kansas,  or perhaps Crawford.

Okay Joking aside, has it ever happened before that two Cat 5 hurricane have hit this close together both in time and track?

The only time I've  ever heard of a barometer reading of only 27 in. was from my grandfather who as an old seaman , played a hunch and evacuated his family right before the infamous , The Labor Day Hurricane of 1935

    •  Short answer (none)
no, probably neither of these will techniocally be a 5 when they hit, but nonetheless, two back to back hurricanes like this is pretty much unheard of in the US.
      •  Trust me (none)
it will not be up to you to make that call --

Your airline will have your flight cancelled -- there will be no flights in or out of Houston until the airlines are sure that it is safe to land and take off.

So you might as well unpack

    •  Well (4.00)
There is a house in Crawford - ranch? - that is not occupied at the moment -- so send some evacuees there so they'll have a roof over their heads.

I'm sure there is room for a bunch of people -- and they can relieve the President of some of his hard work -- clearing brush.
