CHEERS to this week being almost over and JEERS to it lasting so darn long.  This work stuff sure cuts into the fun.

JEERS to Rita.  Just make a 180, will'ya?

CHEERS to my beloved Yankees.  It might not last, but it's good to see them back in first.  (No troll ratings please; I've withheld my ratings during the preceding 4-1/2 month Bosox lovefest)

CHEERS to my SO.  The plan is to tie the knot next 8/12 and we couldn't be happier.

CHEERS to friends.  When we broke the news of the engagement to some friends at the local bar, the response was "But she doesn't LOOK pregnant?!"  A few rounds then ensued...

CHEERS to my fellow Bobs and Bobettes and most of all to BiPM.

"CHEERS to my beloved Yankees.  It might not last, but it's good to see them back in first."

Even as a die-hard Red Sox fan, I'd much rather have seen them trading the top spot back and forth all season.
      I love drama.
And the last 3 games of the season are against the Yankees at Fenway Park.
      Could it get any better?
Well, yeah, it could... did they have to stick the Baltimore Areolas into the last week of the season, too? The bastards always seem to have the Sox's number....
      ("beloved" yankees, why I orta....)

When my now-22-y/o son was small, anytime I referred to the Yankees, I always prefaced the team name with the term "our beloved"; in fact, I used to correct him whenever he neglected to do the same.

For a while, I even tried to train him to bow his head reverently when saying the team name.

        He's grown out of it.
