  •  distorting the democrats vote to authorize (none)
More than 50% of the House Democrats and almost 50% of the Senate Democrats voted against giving Bush authorization in Iraq.

Many of those Democrats that voted for the authorization did so with caveats and made statements to that effect when they placed their votes. Yes, sadly the speeches mean nothing, the vote is what counts - especially when we are talking about bunch of rethuglicans without any sense of honor, decency or prespective.

Hindsight is always 20/20, isn't it?

We, as a nation were still feeling the shock from 9/11 - I think a lot of people got suckered into believing Colin Powells line of BS .. I know I did .. it took about two weeks into the war in Iraq before I realized I had 'been had' - when our troops attacked Baghdad with no CBW protection, I knew for sure it was total BS.
