  •  Well the link that should (4.00)
be made between Abramoff and all terrorist groups - the one thing the should have in common is Federal Prosecutors and other law enforcement using their full compliment of Patriot Act powers to investigate him and everyone he has ever done business with.

His embezzlement schemes - presumably on behalf of the GOP machine - should be widely investigated and should not stop when the get too close to a person in power.

That is what should happen and yet they continue to urge us to pay not attention to the man behind the curtain...

    •  wouldn't it be lovely (none)
if their beloved Patriot Act backfired on them in just that manner? Then I'd say it was worth it. After they are all in jail, we repeal it.

I have an angle on the Jose Padilla case that I'll have to hang on to until we get some Dems back in the White House.  But let's just say having the Bush, Cheney and other "special" families spend the rest of their lives at a lovely beach front propterty in Cuba might just be the best way to prevent this kind of coup from ever taking place again.

But, first, we set up an open-air stockade -- like the Colonials -- on the site of the Twin Towers and at the Pentagon, and let members of the community do what our ancestors were free to do with their criminals for as long as it takes for everyone who wants to have a word with them to file past.  One visit per customer.

For the duration, may I suggest a sentence of one day for every dead American: 3,000 (9/11) plus 1900 (Iraq War) plus ???? thousand (Katrina).
