  •  Dear Cindy Sheehan (1.20)
I don't think I can be challenged for my analysis of the war and for what I say because it is all the truth

I am curious, then, about whether you would be willing to defend your analysis of the war in a public debate forum. Given your confidence, I'm sure that it would merely be an issue of logistic.

Hmmm.  Seems to be a lot of those lately, many of them making trolling comments in diaries.  (Next thing you know, Michelle Malkin will be pointing to these comments as evidence that the support for Cindy is cracking.)  Lessee, Leon seems to have a jones for diaries about Redstate.org and Cindy Sheehan.

      You decide.

      •  Everyone knows who I am (2.00)
I make no bones about it. I post to at least three right-leaning blogs that are fairly well-read in their own respect (granting that they are all smaller than Kos put together).

When I come over here, I try to be respectful, just like Armando and acbonin are when they visit RedState. So, I'm wondering what I've said that counts as "trolling." I'm not trying to deceive anyone into thinking I'm something I'm not, or provoke pointless hostility.

Cindy is confident that her analysis of the Iraq war cannot be gainsayed, as she explicitly said in this very diary. I'm interested to see exactly how confident she is. Does she mean, "I don't think I can be challenged for my analysis of the war," or, "I don't think I will be challenged for my analysis of the war?"

        •  There is no need to debate (4.00)
debate is for college kids. "Winning" a debate doesn't make you right. It just means you are good at debate and you don't even have to be honest to be that.

          •  One wonders (none)
Why we ask our Presidential candidates to participate in such a "college kid" exercise.

One also wonder whether there is another manner to test Cindy's hypothesis about her war analysis, apart from a direct competition between analyses.

            •  Well "One" would only wonder (none)
these things if a certain Cindy Sheehan was really getting to him, now wouldn't one. Look, you've brought out your mothers to stand againgst Cindy to say they're proud of their sons and they'd send them again. The country obviously has shifted from a 50/50 to 60/40 towards leaving Iraq. So what is there to debate about. Your party has had five years to show all of us what you can do and this country is severly fucked up for it and a mom protesting a war dominates every talk show out their. I guess "one" might think it really pisses off the right that so much could go wrong. Sorry that you can't mold Cindy into Rove jello.
            •  I certainly wonder (none)
it's pathetic not to know what you think about this war with out a debate to "test a hypothesis".

You're the little fuck that banned me from RedState.  Red like Russia.  Go back to that FatherLand Uber Prick.

Most people are idiots... But don't tell them. It'll spoil all the fun for those of us who aren't.

    •  Troll Rating (none)
Good grief.  So you challenge her to a debate and people give you ones?!

      Wow.

      •  It's someone from redstate coming over here (none)
and seeing as how he doesn't participate in any regular fashion except for redstate like diaries and Cindy Sheehan I would guess he's a shit disturber who comes here in a polite fashion to stir it up. There's a whole  load of people lately doing it. As to her debating whoever, why the hell should she. Has she not made the ultimate sacrifice allready dingbat, or would you like some more of here soul? As to the issues, I would imagine she's got a descent grip to be allowed to protest and stand up for her rights. Doesn't suit you, I imagine, I'm sure you want to see some more blood otherwise this wouldn't be the only comment you manage to come up with. And as to Armando, he's way better at not hiding behind his name. Sorry pal.
      •  Nobody is threatening him with The Pile (none)
        or anything obnoxious like that.

I tried rating it up, because I don't think it deserves to be hidden, but I can only go so far.  The comment itself was a little self-serving and smug, so I can see it as marginal or unproductive, but I don't think it is too trollish.

Of course, I have seen people on redstate sent to the pile for even more mild behaviour.

        whatever...

    •  I think you've misinterpreted the spirit of that (none)
      Leon,

If you include the last part of the sentence, the meaning changes:

I don't think I can be challenged for my analysis of the war and for what I say because it is all the truth and comes from my heart, so I have to be attacked for smiling

She is not saying that her position is unassailable in a public forum so much as that it is more politically expedient for her ideological opponents to concentrate on a gaffe rather than the content of her message because she is sincere.
