  •  there's more, go get it! (none)

E&P said the NYT has the entire letter published in PDF form on their site but didn't provide a URL for it.

Someone here needs to get to the NYT site immediately and grab whatever letters are available, and whatever parts of letters are available, and post ALL of it here.

What we're trying to do here is basically an intel analysis exercise, and what we need is the rest of the information because context is critical.

Excerpts from one letter aren't enough.

Someone please get the rest of it and post all of it here.  Including header information: dates & times sent and received, etc.

(Yes, I've posted this comment more than once; sorry to be "pulling the fire alarm" or whatever, but we absolutely need the rest of the information in order to get the best analysis, and someone needs to go get it immediately before it gets yanked.)

    •  Here's the link (none)
      To the letters

Note, these aren't copies of a fascimile--they're scans of hard copies. At least there's no fax notation on them.

      •  got it; thanks (none)

That link goes to a download, 3.1 mb, total of 8 pages of stuff, consisting of three letters.

Anyone who's serious about analysis of this stuff, go there now and get the material and get on the case.

Damn, I'd be on this right now but I have an appontment in ten minutes and won't be back until tonight.

Goldsmith, start a second diary, time to go into serious intel mode here with tight focus.  If I had the time I'd email you a template for how to do this right now; think of it as an outline organized by topic, where the readers' responses to each topic flesh out the outline.
