  •  Georgia, one problem . . . (4.00)
You're making a mighty big assumption, that the Dem senators will actually ask some relevant questions.

    That's a big leap.

and maybe the E Pluribus media folk can help them along:

another Kos diarist uncovered another Miers connection to the Bush TANG scandal

Seems the Chief witness against W, was a former Texas lawmaker named Ben Barnes (who stated publicly that he'd pulled strings to get W in).   At the time the scandal broke Ben was a Lobbyist
for an Electronic Lottery company named GTECH  that had a HUGE contract with the State Lottery Board (Headed  by Miers).  Around the time of Barnes public comments, the State Lottery announed that GTECH contract was to be terminated.

In reposne GTECH filed an appeal and fired Barnes  but provided him with a $23 Million  severance package.

Shortly thereafter,  Barnes recanted and Gtech's contract was reinstated.

This stinks like week old fish.

    •  Why ask relevant questions? (none)
Isn't it much more important to know what her favorite movies are, and what kind of music she likes?

Oh, and whether she likes flowers or candy.

We gotta have some sexism thrown in on top of all of the other minutia.
