  •  I love all this clever by half stratergery talk (3.00)
meteor blades has it right - this party is toast.

however, I am going to doorbell my precinct - and my neigobors are gonna know that their time and money is going to a bunch of the most spineless sacks of shit to ever run a "political" party into the ground.

I really don't know what is "political" about the Dems - keep giving then time and money so they can keep doing nothing but going to nice parites in Georgetown, Nantucket, Aspen ...& so they can keep complaining how bush is a moron and is corrupt and is a liar

and how they need to keep their powder dry for the next fight?

WTFO - any of you remember when raygun cut financial aid in the early 80's?  any of you working full time for $4.25 / hour, with ZERO family wealth and NO extra household income, in 1981 when the minimum wage was 3.35 and that 4.25 disqualified you for grant money to go to college in 1982?

this party stands for NOTHING, other than supporting the f**king losers in DC who get to live way better than any of you could ever imagine - take from someone who cooked at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston in the 80's.

    rmm.

    •  Thank you for saying it (2.00)
Kos and Armando and the sweet reason crew think this is all a parlor game of point set point and we all go home safe and sound afterwards.

      Politics amuses them.

No blood. No sweat. No tears.

This Administration is a mafia crew in effect. They are not governing, they are looting and solidifying their grasp on revenue streams to themselves and their backers.

And the current Democratic party wants to do the same thing, only with more lubrication.

      Thank you for saying it.

Armando, you write well and a great deal.

All of it from within the two-party system.

If you feel dismissed on these pages, it is because so many Americans are dismissive of the Democratic party.

You are tight with the party that the Republicans have been towing all over the political landscape for decades now. You ponder poll numbers and red/blue demographics when we don't even count votes anymore, and don't plan to start any time soon.

Everything the Democratic party does is a reaction to what the Republican party says or does. It is not an opposition party in any real sense of the term. It's a rowboat behind the Republicans, trying to emulate them. You're in that boat.

Carefully crafted compromises with the latest Republican insults upon our governing institutions is arranging deck chairs, nothing more.

Both parties support the Iraq war to this day.

That plank alone has already cost the Dems every future election. Failure to fight election fraud or supreme court frauds when they happen just nails it down.

Half the Dem party now wants nothing to do with the party or their hold-your-nose-and-vote candidates.

The time for sweet reason is well passed, for most of the people you think are listening to you. It's like asking us to eat cake.

Did you know you misspelled "strategy", or was that just some really clever snark on your part?

      •  stratergery is the only intentional (none)
        writing gaffe.

obviously from much of the sophisticated analysis happening here - all the great game a la Bismark thinking, all the subtle moves and counter moves

I am too dense and simple to appreciate what my betters in DC are doing to, I mean for, me.
