  •  Hardly tinfoil (4.00)
Nearly every person on this thread knows what's going on. And I see a lot of rational arguments, keen insight and use of actual statistics to show what's going on.

We are not the tin foil hat wearers( I'm so damn sick of that phrase, to be honest). Rather, THEY are the ignorant, media besotted, head-in-the-sanders who can't see what's happening.

    I find it immensely frustrating.

    •  You are right. (none)
Amen - couldnt agree more. :-) I do use the tinfoil phrase due to the confused "is she crazy" look I get when it comes up...I do try not to bring it up at socially inopportune moments. LOL...

I do marvel that more people dont see the obvious, though.

      •  Maybe that needs to change (none)
"I do try not to bring it up at socially inopportune moments."

Not to pick on you, cause we're all guilty, but maybe what we need is to START bringing these things up at socailly inopportune moments.  Most people are blind to this things, whether willfully or through isolation.  The party line "Capitalism/America is the greatest!/Poor people just don't want to work hard" crap needs to be torn down whereever you find it, even if it's at a fancy dinner party.

I, myself, am trying to be more open with my "radical" views when I normally would just keep my mouth shut.  The stakes are just too damned high.

As one famous fictional president said, "People don't drink the sand because they're thristy.  They drink it because they don't know the difference."

"If I am not for myself, then who is for me? But if I am only for myself, then what am I? And if not now, when?" -- Hillel
