  •  I voted no. (none)
I vote so, regretfully.  We live in a different world than the one Cronkite thrived in.  Such events by necessity have to be media photo-ops, or else they become one, by default, for the other side as they characterize the disagreements as chaos.  That's the practical truth.

I know this is not going to be a popular view, either, but I think the Democratic Party, to be more successful, has to become more centralized in its organization.  That is in contradiction with the recent history of the Dem party, but it's not at odds with its more long-term history.  However, we can't do that while we are at war with each other, the netroots and the "strategic class."  One, or the other, has to be sidelined, before a coherent strategy can emerge that will make confused Americans know what they are signing up for when they vote Democratic, as a brand-name party.

    •  While I agree with you, couldn't this (none)
be used as an opportunity to break the mold - and what better way to introduce the New Democratic Party. A party that really stands for something, like it used to do.
