  •  Kristol does believe this crap (4.00)
He's like nothing so much as a Stalinist apparatchik singing the praises of the True Communism he's building, as he lies to bring about the deaths of "enemies of the state."  His ends-justify-the-means morality in service to a glorious ideological fantasyland is depressingly familiar for anyone looking back ver the history of the past century.

Trouble is, fantasyland never arrives.  The vicious means to achieve it become the ends in themselves.  Utopia becomes Dystopia.  I don't know why the legacy of the Busheviks surprises us.  We've watched it happen over and over again.

Now a New Mexican, and much the better for it.

    •  Why not (none)
Bushist (as in Fascist) than Bushivik (as in Bolshivik)?  At least the Bolshiviks overthrew their Czarist masters while the Fascists (Italy) kowtowed to their masters and the Nazis developed a symbiotic relationship with their former capitalist masters.
