    1. How can they/we discuss payback?  This is a criminal investigation engendered by a CIA referral to the Bush II DOJ.  How is there any Democratic activity warranting the politization of the investigation.  Sure, the blogs and the pols may be thrilled and captivated but they aren't driving the GJ investigation.

    2. The pundits continually frame the debate in terms of Plame/Wilson.  It is NOT really about the "mere" burning of one agent...("sure, that happens all the time in swinging DC cocktail parties) - it's about the burning of what may be an entire intelligence network - the Brewster Jennings thing.  Now maybe Brewster Jennings was one person (Plame) or maybe it was many - if the latter, then each one of those agents could be compromised and foreign governments could do a great deal of analysis based on Brewster Jennings activities/comings and goings in their country.

    •  YES - even suggesting this is "payback" (4.00)
for the impeachment of Bill Clinton is so preposterous it is hard for me to even form words to respond, but since I can't spell my sputtering reaction of disbelief, I will try to find some words.

I have joked in other comments about casting the sordid leak story as it truly is: WHIG sexing up the dossier to support this stinking war... which would inject sex into the matter, and almost certainly lead to impeachment since the sexing of the dossier occurred in the White House.

But in truth this is not funny at all.  And suggesting this is mere political payback takes this now to an even more insidious level.  Nevermind that Fitz can hardly be cast as a hack for anyone, much less the Dems.  The leak itself is obscene to say nothing of what it was designed to shield.

I don't even care if the Dems are not screaming over this at this time.  The quieter they are, the less there is to this new talking point nonsense that the call for accountability is politically driven.

I'd like for once for those in power to hear MY voice.  I am mad as Hell and I'm not going to take it anymore.
