  •  The SENATE is not SUPPOSED TO (none)
It's NOT a representation of POPULATION. It was never designed to be that. The HOUSE is the population based body.

The SENATE was supposed to be the more deliberative body, the smaller chamber, where each STATE was equal.

That's why we have TWO houses of Congress, not one.

You might want to read the Constitution, it's all there...

    •  It's a very outdated concept (none)
dating back to when people identified with their state more than their country.  Nowadays, I don't really give a shit what state you're (or I'm) from, and I don't see why we should care that an unpopulated state "only" gets one vote per person.

Also, it favors the Republicans, because unpopulated states tend to be red states.

      Don't drop the soap, Tommy!

      •  Good idea (none)
Pull farther and farther from states rights, and watch more and more of your liberty go away.

And all the monkeys aren't in the zoo, everyday you see quite a few

      •  Not necessarily (none)
NH is small. DE is small. So is VT, RI, HI, MT (population wise, and that's what counts).

And since when is giving the minority a voice bad?

You might want to live under mob rule, I certainly don't. Nor did the founding fathers.
