  •  but ... (none)
can fitgerald file in DC courts?  if he does, is it true that W can't pardon those?  its not federal .....
    •  His grand jury is federal... (none)
...and any lies that were told to the grand jury would therefore strictly be a federal crime.

To the best of my limited knowledge, espionage is not in the D.C. Criminal Code, nor is release of classified information or anything of the sort.

And it is disputed exactly who has the power to pardon D.C. officials, whether it's the Mayor of Washington or the President of the United States, since D.C. has home rule but is not a state...

    •  Not how it works (none)
There is a Federal trial court in D.C. (the Federal District Court for the District of Columbia, or D.D.C.).  Fitzgerald is a fed prosector with a fed grand jury.  He can only file in federal district court after an indictment for a violation of federal law.

How low do you think Bush would go if he pardoned these clowns?  I'm guessing he would break 25%.

2, maybe 3, outside chance 4 appointments to the Court. Nuke, nuke, nuke and (wait for it.....) NUKE!

He'd have to nominate his employers' choices starting when Miers withdraws, which is even worse for us than choices he'd make on his own.
