    The slogan is like eggs in a recipe; they act as a binding agent for other ingredients.  Without quality ingredients however, the dish doesn't come together.

    The Dems need a core message of what THEY stand FOR: a "Better America" goes without saying, but that doesn't tell people enything.    We all know what the Republicans "stand for" (whether they live up to that stand or not): Tax cuts / "Family Values" / Strong defense / Less Government.  Short, simple and to the point.  The Dems need to assemble an equally concise set of words to describe what they promise, and THEN build a slogan around it.
