    And, as it stands, they are on the correct side of this. Not the best concievable side, and many were late to the party. But, if democracy more or less works, those who more or less do the right thing between now and their next election should more or less be rewarded with re-election, and because of that reward, be more or less more likely to do the right thing in the future. What is this democracy shit anyway?

      ...but not the best conceivable side? Shouldn't our Democratic elected leaders be expected to be on the best conceivable side? If you, or even I, could coneive better than the best they could come up with, then why didn't they ask us? That's what this democracy shit is.
    •  They're not just late to the party... (none)
      They STILL haven't arrived.  This is a golden opportunity for them to extricate themselves from this war, and is anyone doing it?  I guess they'd rather continue to be wrong than admit to having been duped.  And they tremble in fear of what those awful republicans are going to say about them.

      It's pathetic, and it makes me sad.
