    I'd suspect they'll pull the name out just after sealed indictments are announced, in an attempt to interject that into the media's information stream, and compete for air-time. If the indictments are sealed, it'll work as a PR coup.

      Harriet Miers had already lost on the late night comedy shows and was the punchline of jokes. People aren't going to spend much time focused on the demise of a joke. This withdrawal is like a fart in church. People may cock their heads to see what the noise was but when Fitz clears his throat and starts talking he will command complete attention.
      •  Any Indictments This Week: Sealed (none)
        Sealed indictments don't generate a whole lot of talk. The lack of names and counts means that there'll be limited speculation, but not a lot of time spent.

        Of course, if the judge refuses to permit extension of the grand jury's term, this could change ...
