    ...I feel a bit sorry for Miers. She seems very small and fragile to me, and my feeling is that she was manipulated by the man she adores (W) into thinking he could get her a seat on the SCOTUS. All he did was expose a loyal admirer as being grossly unsuited to the job he proposed for her. I think she was duped. She was surely not qualified to sit on SCOTUS and it is shameful that her hero put her in the position of exposing her shortcomings. The rewards of loyalty?

        I feel sorry for her also.  She's someone who made it to the top of her profession, and now, nearing the end of her career, she's ridiculed as incompetent and unfit for the SCOTUS.

        The real idiot is W.  But then again, live by the sword, die by the sword.  Her hero has certainly done his share to smear good people, so maybe it's just that she gets some of what her side has given out for years now.
