helps with these folks. link   You need to keep picking until something begins to unravel and then, zip-a pile of yarn.  And Libby may not be the place he is picking at.

A perspective on the Jesuit education- when you have been raised by working class people and their sacrifices and yours have brought you forward in life through education, you believe in the ideals of your family and your teachers.

When you are born wealthy and are sent to Yale via boarding prep school (as were Bush link, Libby linkand Kerry link ) you have a different background.  It is your legacy to be in the circles of power and decision in Washington.

Some embrace this legacy and hold to their idealism like Kerry.  This was a liability, since when Kerry was swift boated, he couldn't respond in time.  Perhaps he expected Americans to be repelled by that sort of slimy behavior.  Others just use prep school as a way to enter the inner circle of power- they are the ones with the nicknames (Scooter  and Tweed link
    ) and the
Fitzgerald went to prep school too- on scholarship link.  So he knows these people with this background well.  And that knowlege could both stiffen his spine and give him the ability to wheedle the most from Scooter and company (sounds like a cartoon show).
