  •  Oh, you big silly head (4.00)
Clinton appointed his wife in order to sabotage health care?  I thought he appointed her because of her excellent record of delivering tin foil hats to self described fat old men!

    •  A tin foil hat would have at least been something (4.00)
Lets see. We'll start by forming a panel composed almost entirely of Big Pharma and HMO's to write up a plan. Then we'll hold all our meetings behind closed doors until at long last after much public outrage we finally have a few public hearings. Of course by that time the plan has already been drafted with nothing the public suggested being included, and then when the Rebulicans manage to shoot down the bloated, over complicated plan that really doesn't cover everyone, we'll just shrug our shoulders and say "we tried".
Despite continued polling that to this day shows that most Americans favor a single payer national health care plan, no Democrat since has dared even suggested it. Sounds like pretty effective sabotage to me.

talked about it and look at what it got him.
      •  HMOs wrote the plan? (none)
and then they paid money into a huge campaign to kill it?

get real.  the plan was not single payer, but it was mixed approach that tried to use the marketplace and government in partnership to cover people.  Debate the plan, critique the plan, dismiss the plan... but to say that it was sabotage is baloney.

France is burning and their single payer health care system and generous unemployment is not stopping it.  Clinton tried to do something that had never been done and he failed.  But it's not fair to say that the other models are all perfect, either.
