  •  Have you ever heard (none)
of the old adage.... keep your friends close and your enemies closer?

Do you think it serves the country well to not reach out? To continually seek partisian division.

    inspire change...don't back down

has moved so far to the right that "reaching out" serves only to cement Republican gains. In times like this, when the actions of the government are so damaging to workers, to the poor, to true national security, to the civil rights of women and gays and everyone else's due process and free speech rights, that it is necessary to become MORE partisan.

Things became very nasty and divided leading up to the New Deal. Everybody forgets that.

    •  What about standing up for principle? (none)
You don't take photo ops with war criminals and then tell us that WE have to fight. What the hell does he think we have been doing out here? I can't fight if I can't VOTE without wondering if DIEBOLD is giving my vote to the other guy! When corporate influence trumps my voice! When politcal aspirations of public servants come before the principles that should guide this country's course! There are many of us out here already fighting, and we have been doing so WITHOUT the loud and truthful voices of many like Bill Clinton, who sat and watched while these bastards stole two elections from under our feet without ONE WHIMPER from them about it!

I respect Bill Clinton as a President who did some very good things for this country, and currently his work on behalf of AIDS and other charities is something I also respect and support. However, that doesn't mean I can't find fault with him saying that we need to fight while he takes photo ops with the very people he says we need to fight. And that isn't about being non-partisan, that is about taking a stand for principles! I don't despise Bush and his lot because they are Republicans, I despise them because they are lying, cheating, thieving, murdering war criminals who have trashed our constituion and dragged America down into the abyss. After all they have managed to do to break treaties, violate international law, violate our constitution, spit on working people, despoil our environment, and basically destroy what America once stood for, I would expect an ex-President of all people to stand up out of principle and denounce them publicly every chance he got.

This also isn't about "reaching out". Good God, do some of you still believe we should "reach out" to these leeches after the blatant way they have exhibited such HATRED for their fellow Americans? Stoleen elections, 9.11, Hurricane Katrina, are but only three examples of the level of indifference these neocons in power have for the American people, and frankly, ANY ex-President be it Clinton or anyone else will not get much cooperation out of me to do anything if they continue to be seen plactating their crimes in any way. Period.
