  •  Nano is the shit, but iPOD video? (none)
Still can't figure out how to put my DVDs on the newest iPOD.  I'll be damned if I'm gonna get on iTUNES and pay for a fucking movie there.

    •  Agreed (none)
I was considering that new iPOD, but in all actuallity, would never ever use that video option.  I'd rather just listen to tunes or a podcast.  And really, do I need to begin to resemble a small, walking electronics store by getting every new gadget that Apple releases.  I love Apple, but refuse to be driven by 'em.

Therefore, I'm going to stick to the Nano.  It's been great so far; why change now?

    •  Google is your friend (none)
Google search on 'video ipod dvd'

There seem to be several options. The most straightforward one(handbrake) appears to be Mac only though.

    •  It's illegal (none)
to put your DVDs on your iPod. Thank your local congress critter who voted for the Digital Millenium Copyright Act.

Depends on what DVD's you want to transfer. O'Reilly  (the publisher; not the kook) covers this on their website. It is not illegal to transfer DVD's you made of your kids to iPod, for example, just commercial ones.
