Bryan cerainly can win in the district. It is undoubtedly a very conservative district, but Sensenbrenner is not all that popular, and he hasn't had a serious campaign challenger for a very long time. I don't have the #'s in front of me, but if I am remembering correctly nobody ever spent more than $40k to run against him until last year. Kennedy came out of nowhere and raised nearly $300k, and it will certainly be more this time around. While money isn't everything, it plays a key role in getting the message out.

It's also worth noting that Sen. Kohl wins the CD, and that attitudes have changed in many areas... Milwaukee's north shore has been voting democratic (Whitefish Bay even went to Kerry) and Wauwatosa went to Kerry. These were both past Repub. strongholds.

Kennedy got about 130,000 votes in the last election. That's a good number, and if he can identify them and get them to turn out, and change them minds of some more voters, he has a chance. Let's hope for the best!
