    that's cool.

there's not really an answer to the question.

except that kucinich must have thought a diplomatic solution was still possible after IWR.

He thinks Kucinich is a kook.  Sorry, maybe it's just me, but that dude is a wacko.

        •  not for that (none)
but for his whole presidential campaign.

Department of Peace?  Give me a fucking break, dude.  Whatever you're smoking, I want the dealer's # so I can snatch some of that shit for myself....

          •  sometime we should discuss (none)
just how wacky that idea is. an actual government bureau dedicated to promoting peace, wow, really bizarre.

            •  I have yet to get a clear answer (none)
As to what a Department of Peace would do, that the US State Department could not.

              •  It would argue (none)
with the Department of War (aka "Defense").

Works for me.  Somebody's to argue with 'em.

Let's have a Department of Peace!

                •  In a sane administration (none)
The Defense Department isn't lead by some crackpot who wants to go to war at the drop a hat for the Hell of it.

The idea that we need a cabinet level agency to just to argue with another cabinet level agency is patently absurd.

                    we'll talk.

'Til then, read how Lincoln structured his Cabinet . . . and then FDR . . . etc.
