  •  can someone please provide a rundown (none)
of the WA state props and what they are about?
    •  912,901,330,336 (none)
      912 repeals a 2005 legislative inacted gas tax of $0.03/gallon (2005+2006), $0.02/gal 2007, $0.015/gal 2008.

901 bans smoking in all public buildings and within 25 feet of a public doorway

330 is medical industry sponsored tort reform. i.e. $350k cap on non-economic damages plus moving litigation to arbitration

336 is lawyer sponsored medical reform increasing oversight of insurance industry and doctor performance.

330 is pretty bad, but I think 336 is, by itself, also pretty bad. These 2 initiatives really illustrates the problem with the initiative process. They are so single-solution focused that they're typically bad legislation.

I voted no on both 330 and 336. After I read the language of 336 at the ballot box, I couldn't see that as a good law.

by and large suck as a way to make law, imo.

remember the vote on pensions?  am i qualified to make that decision?  hell no!  where the hell is the legislature?

          •  most of the legislative members are (none)
frustrated high school class officers or student council types.  My two reps are Dems but frikkin wimps on most issues.  One's an idiot and the other says he's for growth managment, but his girlfriend is a big luxury developer in the San Juans.

        •  Initiatives: stupid until proven otherwise (none)
I think a "NO" is almost always the right choice.  They are generally used to try and slip stupid ideas past people too busy or uninterested to read the fine print.

I absolutely love what is happening in CA-- looks like Arnie has egg all over his face!
