A judge should advance what they believe the law does and does not say.  No disagreement there.  But according to this article, he doesn't believe abortion is a protected right and agrees with legal challenges to me that says he'd overturn Roe versus Wade.  And when I ended with "one might even say extraordinary," I was suggesting that his nomination should be fought.

Let's get to the heart of the matter and make this a debate about the constitutionality of abortion and not a silly debate about the place of personal views in judicial decisions.  The latter is a red herring entirely.  The former is a good enough basis to block this motherfucker, and the next one, and the next one, and the next one, until Bush is too pummelled in the polls not to capitulate to the moderate mainstream. It will take a long hard slog to get him to screw his base over, and he'll only do it by being dragged kicking and screaming, but the alternative is a Locker SCOTUS which would set the country, and potentially international jurisprudence, back a century.
