invading iraq had nothing to do with national security and has clearly impacted our national security negatively.

but this, just my opinion, is where i start to disagree with some anti-war ideas, and it's a clear disagreement i have with feingold.

he talked about it sunday, and he'll get a lot of traction out of his position on this because, for a lot of people, it will be very easy to conflate what bush is doing in iraq with the same ideas/principles/values behind kosovo.

i think conflating what we did in kosovo with what bush is doing in iraq is incorrect.

feingold would have to be more clear on that before i'd vote for him in a primary.

i don't hate corporations, and if bosnians aren't taking care of their own security that's an issue worth resolving.

that doesn't mean it wasn't a successful campaign that brought some measure of peace to the area.

in contrast to the unsuccessful campaign in iraq that has brought nothing but bloodshed to iraq.

i've seen some people try to make the argument that less jews were exterminated by the nazis than originally reported.

the crimes being committed and reported at the time by v. legit sources (New Yorker.. not WSJ or DLC/Clinton News Daily) that justified the campaign still seem legit to me.

Reading about hundreds of throats being slit so that the blood could flow in the river Drave, or somesuch thing, in the NYTs, in the early 90s, and feeling a few steps away from doing a "Spanish Civil War" act and hopping a plane to the neighborhood.

However, like the story about the Iraqi invaders putting Kuwaiti babies on the cold nursery floor in order to take incubators home, it was debunked.

Point being, we have to have some sort of threshold or admit the martians, or whomever, have every right to carpet bomb us for every Amadou Diallo or unpunished OJ, MJ, and Ken Lay.
