  •  hill's law doesn't just violate the 1st amendment (4.00)
    it violates the second commandment. desecration happens to sacred things. flag worshippers are idolaters, pure and simple.

      That's what I said! Somewhere up above, before I got all the way down here. I've been telling people this for a few years now, you're the first other person I've ever heard it from!

        My Senator Feinstein is also gung-ho on flag burning restriction.  Whenever the issue comes up I go on her web site and tell her that saying what is sacred and what is desecration represents an unconstitutional establishment of religion.

        I always get the form letter back, but I'm sure some staffer runs a tally, so keep going.

        it was about a year ago, i think, so it wasn't liely you, but it really struck me how true it is. of course, the tricky thing about the second commandment is that it also could prohibit images of the 10 commandments , or if you're really strict, crucifixes.

        nearly every church has a graven image hanging in the middle of the room.
