    into the diary. Because I fear that ever-increasing gas tax, early in the process, is going to be a very hard sell and an easy club for The Opposition to beat on this plan with, in "Harry & Louise" type ads.

      that you 'recommend' going into the diary?

      I tend to agree with you that Energize America needs a path (multiple paths) to counter the expected screams re 'gas tax'.  One is raised above. Another is that this is not an undifferentiated 'tax' but the surcharge is directly associated (like with 'airplane tax' or the current gas tax) with expenditures that tie back into the product area facing a charge.
