    who co-sponsored the Analog Hole legislation this week. Conyers was.

    If he can help the media giants attack the public domain in the midst of a "constitutional crisis," then we can defend the public domain in the midst of a constitutional crisis diary.

      The analog hole legislation is such a priority for me that no politician who votes for it will ever get a dime. And I don't share files, I pay for my music, DVDs, etc.

      I do, however, develop software for a living, and I run the Linux operating system. This legislation represents death. Those of you in the "creative industry", the equivalent would be if someone were talking about abolishing the First Amendment and requiring government approval of every song or script you write, every film you make. The only difference is that we're talking about restrictions on writing that happens to be software.
