  •  Who knew? (none)
    I agree with you Klevenstein.

That Bush was lying from the start, beginning with the specious Al-Queda-Sadaam link, was obvious enough to me as a very casual observer who does not even own a tv set.

While I am glad that some Democrats and even a couple of Republicans are now beginning to see that Emperor W is not now and has never been wearing any clothes, it would have been nice if they had not fallen asleep at the wheel but actually taken note of that fact a few years ago.  Among other things, an alert Congress could have saved the lives of over 2,000 U.S. soldiers and the lives of the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis who have died and will die in a country left in a power vacuum and on the brink of a civil war that could last decades.

Oh - and did I mention it would have been swell to have skipped that whole Gitmo-Torture Fest too?

may have something to do with the fact that it was obvious

may believe(d -hopefully) that the corporate media is/was a reliable source of intel

oh, for a free and independent press

      •  Yup, my TV viewing for the year (none)
consists of 8 hours of NFL and 5 hours of college basketball.

Yesterday, my partner's community music ensemble played a few bits for the local TV news. I "watched" it (while reading the real news and commentary on the web, like usual). I could not believe what crap they were shovelling on TV.

Anyway, her group made some beautiful music, during which the anchors blithely blathered on so that you could barely hear or see her group.

I am so thankful for the web. I have no idea how I could be informed without it.

        <snark> I'm not addicted, though; I can quit anytime I want </snark>.
