    What unmitigated gall.

A man who promotes torture, who disregards the constitution, rushes back to D.C. to make sure that the budget that HE is responsible for balooning out of control gets fixed on the backs of the poor, the sick, the young.

That Dick belongs in a jail cell.

Impeachment is no longer an option. It is our moral and civic obligation as Americans. We owe our country nothing less.

    •  Damn him! (none)
Doing one of his two consitutionally assigned duties and breaking a tie!  Seriously, I don't see the big deal on this.  It's his job to break ties, and it's not like he's not doing what he said he'd do if elected.  He won, and the winners get to vote the way they want on this kind of stuff.  I certainly voted for the other guys, because I suspect VP Edwards would have voted in a way I'd prefer, but I don't really get outraged when the VP breaks a tie for his own party.  It is, after all, what we're paying him to do.

Now we need to focus on the House vote.

Call your congress-critter.  They're heading home to the district for the winter break - talk to his or her scheduler and set up an appointment if you can.  Failing that - try to get in to see their Legislative Assistant in charge of the budget.  Take a few friends in with you if you can get a meeting.

        You're their constituents - demand face-time.  It's your right as a tax-payer.

      •  My gall isn't directed at his duties (none)
        it's directed at his priorities.

An invasion of another country with no connection to 9-11 and multiple tax cuts for the rich, and then paying for that irresponsible red ink on the backs of the underprivileged.

He couldn't be further from his ultimate role as public servant, even as he does his VP duties.
