Well, I haven't read the diary, so I'm just going to respond to the title.

You can't compare the two. Hitler engaged in genocide. Bush hasn't done anything of the sort, and the war in Iraq is a far cry from the holocaust.

it is clear that the GOP propaganda machine has borrowed some ideas from the old Nazi propaganda machine; however, I wouldn't give Bush (or Rove) credit for that.

As the diary points out, Hitler didn't start engaging in genocide until 1941, eight years after he came to power.  Hitler didn't start a war of aggression until 1939, six years after he came to power (and that war of aggression, against Poland, was on much the same scale as Bush's war against Iraq.)

So, are you saying that Hitler before 1939 can't be called Hitler?

Then read the god-damned article before you shoot your mouth. Why does everyone immediately boil the nazi movement down to jew killing as though that's all there was to it.

It's actually just a whisper away - open your eyes. Or is it because Iraqi's are 'of color' makes it more acceptable? And don't try the number comparison, because bush ain't through yet.

No - they've perfected and built on it.

    •  Super Pretzel 30'000 or so innocent Iraqis (none)
By Bushes own count. Probably 100,000 is the real number. How many deaths does it take before we can call it genocide? This is a Country that made NO military advances at the U.S. I was always told that if you don't learn from history you are going to repeat it and I really don't think King George has read much history.
