  •  Meaningless, Legislation-Lite (4.00)
Thanks to term limits and the unending rotation of people through legislative seats, we've now got a lot more people over a 6 year period trying to pass bills.  As a result, we get more legislation, because everyone is in a huge hurry to pass their pet bills and they can't take time working on major legislation that takes an extended amount of time.  So to make their mark and get something they can put out in a press release, the legislature wastes an inordinate amount of time--especially in committee--on stupid crap like whether the state rock or bird or saying should be changed, or how many types of license plates we should have, or resolutions on yada yada yada.

The revolution will not be televised, but we'll analyze it to death at The Next Hurrah.
