  •  Who deletes spin? (none)
One man's "spin" is another's "truth".
In theory, the NYT&WaPo checks facts, deletes spin, and publishes a solid, authenticated story, with attribution. And look at these guys today--no longer trusted sources.

Who runs the New Media of our idealistic dreams?

    How do they stay trusted?

(Having THE trusted news source is absolute power, and absolute power...well, you know.)

    •  Any good editor (none)
familiar with the political use of language can edit out most if not all ideological insinuation in a story.  If the neutrality of the outcome remains true, fair and consistent, word will get around.  As soon as the editorial function starts tilting, that word will also get out.

Next: horses appointed to the senate!
