  •  Spudser, none of your image links are working. (none)
I don't know what it is . . . it appears some people saw your Gothic thing upthread.

    But I'm getting nothing.

    •  Sorry. This is Johnson's building in Boston, (none)
the International Center, with the 40 stories of Paladian windows punched into the skin. He did some 'fine' work in San Francisco too.
      •  Oh. My. God. That is the single most hideously (none)
insulting building on every damn level.

I went to grad school in Boston, and never failed to point that dung heap out to all of my visiting friends and family.

Johnson should have had his drawing hand cut off after that building.

        •  No, teh brown pregnant building that (none)
needed to be cordoned off so that peds were not hit by falling icycles is perhaps the worst building in Boston. And there are TWO of them.

I lived at Newbury and Fairfield, so the Back Bay was my stomping ground. The Pru wasn't any gift either. Johnson also added the wonderful addition to the Pub Library.

      •  oh yeah (none)
I have to scream every time I pass that building, "That's not the way to use Palladian windows!"

And then there's the Chippendale building - but at least that doesn't look TOO bad from street level.

Perhaps some mighty victory is growing in you now. - Mike Finley
