  •  Give a little, get a job (none)
Doing a quick visit to Open Secrets and I see that most of these folks were also Repug contributors.  Floyd Hall seems to have been an executive at K-Mart and funneled $275,000 from the Big K to Repugs and another $24k in his own money and that just in the 2000 and 2004 cycles.
Moeny sure goes a long way in the Repuglican party.
    •  Floyd Hall was indeed (none)
chairman of Kmart around the time of its entry into bankruptcy. Expect his expert guidance as Amtrak lays off thousands, closes routes and stations, oh - - and opens a flashy new flagship station or two and bumps up its marketing.

The Bush Admin has Amtrak slated for demolition not because it doesn't make money - - why would a national railroad be expected to make money - - but because it keeps people from driving cars or taking planes and using more OIL.

Don't be surprised if Hall brings in an expert or two with a background in finance at say, Chrysler Corp., which had its own brush with corporate mortality way back in the days when Lee Iacocca went to Washington to get a Federal bailout of the company. Kmart brought in a couple of Chrysler guys when its own liquidity was in dire straits. Then Kmart brought in Hall to put a pretty face on the proceedings as it headed into the solvency storm sewer

Hall is an NJ guy who brought some jobs into the state (by opening a flashy new Kmart in Jersey City) when Christine Todd Whitman was governor.

"Brownie Hall" as a poster below has noted!
