    when he suggested, as commissioner of the US Civil Rights commission in 2002:

    If there's another terrorist attack, and if it's from a certain ethnic community or certain ethnicities that the terrorists are from, you can forget civil rights in this country.  Not too many people will be crying in their beer if there are more detentions, more stops and more profiling

    I think there's a definite pattern of appointing people to agencies who seem to have specific desires to see such agencies fail.

    I'm mad as hell, and I'm not gonna take this anymore!

      After Bush illegally appointed Kirsanow to a seat on the USCCR that wasn't vacant, and MFBerry's court challenge, and Thernstrom's sudden change of party-affiliation (just in time for Bush to appoint 2 more Repugs) -- now Bush recess-appoints Kirsanow to yet another position he's unfit for, leaving another vacancy on the USCCR. Look for Reynolds, Braceras, and/or Taylor to abruptly become "Independent".....
