  •  Another question: (none)
If Bush can nullify the Fourth Amendment through pure executive power, why can't he do the same to any other Amendment? And if Bush can do it for the Fourth, can Hitlery Clinton do it for the Second?
    •  Forget Hillary Clinton, (none)
rather, ask- Can Bush do it? Will Bush do it?

He already took guns away during times-of-trouble down in New Orleans, he would probably do it again. This power could give him the uncontestable right to do it. He's already shown he'll do it. People had better think about this.

    •  I've asked wingnuts that very question (none)
especially as I believe in the individual right to own guns.

They generally sidestep the question or go silent. It's as though they think Dubya will be president forever. I'm sure if he crowned himself Emperor they'd go enthusiastically along.

For that matter, Dubya will crap on the 2nd Amendment too if he thinks it threatens his power in any way.

      •  The Second is a really good example, in fact (none)
Wouldn't it be eminently reasonable1 for a liberal President to claim that it is too easy for terrorists to get armed in the US and therefore it will be illegal to buy a gun?

1From the point of view of those that say Bush's actions thus far have been reasonable.
