  •  I submit it actually helps disrupt terrorism (none)
    Think about it.
Terrorists already had to suspect that their phone calls and eMail traffic were monitored. Now they know it for a fact. So what do they do? They probably reduce their communications -- between each other in this country and with associates outside the country. That's a good thing. Isn't disrupting command and control one of the first priorities when fighting a adversary?
And how about this: knowing that electronic communications are now definitely risky, terrorists may need to rely more on couriers to physically carry messages between cities within the U.S., or between the U.S. and other countries.
That makes them more visible and more vulnerable to being spotted, tracked and taken down. That's also a good thing.
Revealing that wiretapping is going on may actually help us more than it hurts us.
    •  They always knew...and knowing that (none)
bush is listening not only to them, but thousands of other people simply tells them they've got a better shot at not getting caught, since bush is casting a very w---i---d---e net...wide nets are ineffective and kill lots of dolphins (i.e. innocent bystanders).

Once in a while you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right

    •  There's this amazing service called UPS (none)
And FedEx and DHL...Which can deliver information to anywhere around the world in a day or two efficiently and securely.  It can relay blueprints and detailed plans.  It doesn't require identification to ship at a storefront.  And the address of shipment is not confirmed.  In fact, as long as the recipient address is correct, the name of the person receiving it doesn't even have to be correct.

There are a lot of ways that terrorists can go around the wiretapping going on right now, right under our noses.  What the government is doing is making them be sneakier and harder to catch.

America works best in spreading democracy when people over the world see something they want to emulate. Richard
