  •  So all that time everyone spent (none)
watching "Star Trek" freshman year (the FDH at RPI was empty until it was over) may actually pay off for some engineers?

I had an extra ticket--fifth row floor--to Springsteen at the Fieldhouse.  I went into the lounge at Burdett and offered the ticket free to anyone.  However, it was during the early evening Star Trek broadcast and not a single student would pass up another frigging Star Trek rerun to see the Boss.  This was in the late '70s.  I imagine it hasn't changed much.

Knew a Masters grad (EE) who'd managed to avoid dating the whole time there (well not voluntarily).  Nice kid, brilliant.  Bell labs.
