I don't believe anyone can honestly say they knew what the "foreseeable results" of a Bush presidency would be, when they voted in Nov 2000.

I knew we were going to have a recession.

I knew we were going to have deficits.

I knew we were going to start eroding environmental protections.

I knew we were going to see activists judges appointed to the courts.

I knew we were going to see religion shoved down our throats like never before.

Now did I know it was going to be as bad as it has been?  No.  But I knew it was going to happen.

The only thing I blame Nader voters for is being morons.  They sat there over and over again claiming there is no difference between Gore and Bush.  Yeah, they just didn't know any better because they were too stupid to actually bother to read policy statements, voting records, etc.

However, I don't think they are genetic morons... I think they are educatable, and if we make clear to them that there are supreme differences between the Dem and GOP candidates, I think we may convince them to vote for our guy.

If not, then you know, it doesn't really matter to me.  I'm a WASP male with no children... I can live in a cocoon of apathy and none of these governmental decisions will impact me.  So I'll just turn my backs on all of you and walk way... quite likely a good deal richer to boot.
