I did not receive $ from Ketchum, U.S. Department of Ed or HHS to write this---though I wish I had.

    •  POOF go Wolf's hopes as Repug water boy (4.00)
From the length and heat of the sigh, he can still be the official Republican Palace blow dryer, though.

(Doctor Dean was in fine form today. No wonder the Beltway Boobs fear him so.)

      •  What I heard for that sigh (none)
was that Wolf got an answer that was not the one he presumed was coming. I think he had an expected response in mind that would lead into his next planned question.

When a very different answer came, I think Wolf thought for a moment, trying to reformulate his planned question, but the sighed when he realized he had no idea whether or not Dean was right in his assertion that Abramoff did not direct any funds to Democrats.

The sigh was Wolf thinking, "Shit. We're going to have to do research and figure out what went the facts are now." The talking heads hate to be forced to be reporters.

More like, "Damn, I'll be glad when this segment is over so I can go right back to calling this a 'bipartisan scandal' without Dean getting all up in my grill."

    •  Just a sec (none)
It was pretty clear from Blitzer's sigh and his questions that this was "see, loyal real Americans, Democrats are obviously lying to you yet again and so I will sigh in exasperation"

It's all about how the message is framed.
