    when I was young and full of beans, I thought that feminism was misplaced humanisim, or something.  Then, one day when I was 22 and flying on a plane, I read Backlash by Susan Faludi, and I was shocked, and outraged.

    I went out and bought a lot of other books about feminist and generally left-wing stuff the next few months, and started to educate myself about the real world.  It started with feminism.

    I think a lot of males (like me) have to read about the experiences of other humans, when we are young.  I just wish more men did.
