  •  It is Mr. Bush who give comfort to our enemies (4.00)
There can be no doubt in any rational person's mind that the United States under the spurious leadership of George W. Bush is losing the so called war on terror.

Our military action in Iraq has galvanized those in the Muslim world who view us as a threat to move from intellectual opposition to physical attack aimed at our nation wherever and when ever they can reach us. Iraq has converted hundreds of thousands of Muslims from critics of America to deadly foes. This is the result of Mr. Bush's actions as President. Indeed, he brags about making war on a nation which had not attacked us and which was no threat to us whatsoever.

Mr. Bush's brand new policy that torture is to be condoned and even encouraged, if the torture is being conducted on a Muslim, has also helped our enemies recruitment giving them further comfort.

Mr. Bush has in every way available to him, in both word and deed, taken actions which make terrorist attacks on our nation easier to fund, train for and legitimize in the Muslim world.

George W. Bush should be hailed before the United States House of Representatives on charges of treason prosecuted for same and if found guilty suffer the most condign punishment allowed under our laws.

Please, refrain from the standard whine about: "This can never happen, the Republicans hold the government in an iron grip yadda yadda.

I'm commenting as to the facts of the matter and what should be done about the absolutely unacceptable actions of our current President. I'm not open to comments about tactics. This about framing the debate over Bush's actions in terms of their effects on the world outside the boundaries of our nation and how this rebounds on us to our detriment.

It's treasonous to make our avowed enemies attempts to attack us easier. This is what Bush has done.

    •  Good for the goose... (none)
... good for the chimp. Gander. Whatever.

He and, as other posters have so accurately pointed out, the Hannity/Limbaugh et al vanguard of the other side have been calling us enemies for years. Years.

They have been calling it a war, and we've been painted as the bad guys. They've done everything but plaster WWI and WWII-style posters all over the place, with graphic caricatures to emphasize our "otherness."

They have indeed been doing it with words. And Bush is now fully on board with his verbal attacks.

Time to spin around the treason weapon, 180 degrees.

Add "treason" to the "impeachment" memes. It's deserved, and they opened the door.
